2012年全英音樂獎樂評首選獎得主「艾蜜莉珊黛Emeli Sandé」，1987年出生於蘇格蘭東北部的亞伯丁郡的Alford鎮，Emeli Sandé自幼在尚比亞裔的父親與英格蘭籍母親的鼓舞下，追尋音樂夢想，10歲時，選擇以鋼琴作為歌曲創作的樂器，右手臂上的墨西哥傳奇畫家Frida Kahlo〈卡羅〉是她最崇拜的藝術家，內心不時感受到Nina Simone、Joni Mitchell、Lauryn Hill等歌手縱情歌唱所帶來的感動。Emeli的音樂夢想隨著妹妹將鋼琴伴奏試唱帶寄給BBC電台開始發熱，Emeli瞬間成了英國唱片公司爭相邀約加盟的歌手，在唱片合約湧入的同時，她收到蘇格蘭格拉斯哥大學的入學通知，她選擇學業，在大學中專攻臨床神經科學，就讀期間藉由在格拉斯哥市的旅店駐唱賺取學費。Emeli的母親在2008年將女兒的試唱帶寄給英國BBC旗下放送黑人音樂的數位電台1Xtra主持人Ras Kwame，Emeli獲得該電台在倫敦的蘇活區舉行的演唱活動公開演唱的機會。

Emeli Sandé在2012年二月端出首張大碟《Our Vision Of Events》，專輯由英國音樂製作人Shahid Khan掌舵製作，Emeli在英倫電子靈魂樂的潮流節奏脈搏中，流露著不假修飾的真誠情感，不刻意為歌曲裝飾酷感。專輯裡頭的每一首歌曲都是饒富旋律性，觸動心弦，在復古潮流節奏中閃動前衛時尚風采的英倫流型靈魂樂作品。融合英式電子舞曲，節奏藍調，靈魂樂與Trip-Hop元素的首支單曲〈Heaven〉衝上英國金榜亞軍，勇奪英國舞曲榜冠軍。
